How to see Events on your Phone, Tablet or Computer

Steps to enable synchronisation with the Samvit Samvaad calendar so that you can see the events on your Phone, Tablet or Computer.

You can remain updated by subscribing to the samvitsamvaad@gmail.com calendar to see these events on your Phone / Tablet / Desktop Calendar App.

Subscribe to the Samvit Samvaad Calendar.

  1. Open Google Calendar.
  2. Login with your gmail account username & password.
  3. On the left side, find Other calendars.
  4. In the Add a friend's calendar or Add a coworker's calendar box, enter samvitsamvaad@gmail.com.
  5. Click Enter.
  6. The calendar will be added on the left side under "Other calendars".
  7. Confirm that the subscription is working by verifying that events are appearing in the calendar grid.

Configure your Android device to sync to your Google calendar.

  1. Go to your device's Calendar app.
  2. In the settings, make sure your Google account is checked, then select 'Sync Now'.
  3. You may need to select the Google account calendar, then under "Other calendars" check the subscribed calendars the Android device is to sync with (by default, the "Other calendars" may not be checked).
  4. In newer versions of Calendar (Android 5.1 and above), Refresh calendars by clicking the ⋮ icon (top roght) and then on 'Refresh'.
  5. Now click on the Menu icon (top left), scroll down and click on 'Settings'.
  6. Click on samvitsamvaad@gmail.com and switch on sync.

Configure your Apple device to sync to your Google calendar.

  1. Subscribe to the samvitsamvaad@gmail.com calendar as listed above.
  2. Go to Select Calendars and select the calendars you wish to see on your iPhone.
  3. You should be able to see events in your iPhone Apple calendar App after some time, once your App synchronises.

Using Calendar App from the App Store on iPhone / Mac device.

  1. Download the Google Calendar app to your device.
  2. Subscribe to the samvitsamvaad@gmail.com calendar as listed above.
  3. Sign in with your Google account credentials in the Calendar App.
